Manuel Orero is a wedding photographer based in Spain. Over the years, he has integrated Neurapix deeply into his workflow and became a brand ambassador in 2024. In this interview, Manuel shares his unconventional approach to shooting and editing, explains why he prefers JPG over RAW, and how Neurapix allows him to focus more on creativity and human connection.

What kind of photography do you do and how did you get to where you are today?

I have been a wedding photographer since 2008. I started photography in a very personal and therapeutic way. My passion pushed me out of my comfort zone, exploring the streets and traveling to different cities. Over time, that passion turned into my profession.

How have you optimized your workflow in recent years?

I am a somewhat atypical photographer because I shoot in JPG instead of RAW, unlike most of my colleagues. I used to edit all my images in Photoshop, one by one, which was quite a crazy process. I strongly believe in how I shoot and the camera settings I use. With the arrival of Neurapix, Lightroom became my main tool, and the plugin my perfect ally. It allowed me to simplify my workflow significantly while maintaining my visual identity.

What general tips do you have for other photographers?

My best advice is to focus on your creative process. Keep shooting, explore other artistic disciplines, and open your mind to keep growing. Take great care of your clients and the people in front of your camera, because that is the most important part of creating a perfect image. For the more mechanical part of the work and maintaining your visual consistency, tools like Neurapix allow you to save time and focus on what truly matters.
