Carmen Brockhammer is a newborn and Fresh48 photographer specializing in authentic, emotional imagery from the very first days of life. She has integrated Neurapix into her workflow and became a brand ambassador in 2025. In this interview, Carmen shares how she built a calm and trust-based shooting approach, how she streamlined her workflow for more efficiency, and why consistency and clarity are key to long-term success.

What kind of photography do you do and how did you get to where you are today?

I specialize in studio newborn sessions and Fresh48 photography, as I am deeply moved by the authenticity and vulnerability of the first weeks after birth. For more than ten years, I have been accompanying families during this sensitive time.

I learned how important calmness, trust, and a safe environment are to create authentic images. My photographic journey has been shaped by continuous development and a conscious focus on a natural, timeless style.

Whether in the studio or in the first hours after birth, my goal is always to capture genuine connection and honest moments. This mindset remains the foundation of my work today.

How have you optimized your workflow in recent years?

In recent years, I have deliberately simplified and structured my workflow to work more efficiently without compromising quality. A key step was automating recurring processes and outsourcing parts of my work, especially editing.

Neurapix is now an integral part of my workflow. It allows me to significantly reduce editing time while maintaining consistent results. The time I gain is invested in my clients, a relaxed shooting atmosphere, and the further development of my business.

For me, efficiency is not about speed at any cost, but about creating more space for what truly matters.

What general tips do you have for other photographers?

My most important advice is to consciously develop your own style and stay true to it instead of following trends. A clear positioning helps you stand out and attract the right clients.

A structured workflow is equally important, as it saves time and keeps your mind clear, especially during busy periods. Technology should support your work, not dominate it.

And finally, stay consistent. Patience and continuity are often the key factors for long-term success.
